ASU men’s basketball up to 16 players after adding Belgian PG Noah Meeusen

Point guard Noah Meeusen became the 16th player and seventh from outside the United States for Arizona State men’s basketball when he committed to the program on Friday.

The Belgian most recently played for Filou Oostende in the BNXT League, the top domestic league for Belgian and Dutch teams.

Last season, Meeusen averaged 6.4 points, 2.6 rebounds and 3.3 assists in 18.8 minutes across 46 games (29 starts). He shot 55.5% from the floor and 40% from 3 with 1.4 turnovers per game.

The point guard also had limited run with his national team in the 2025 EuroBasket Qualifiers, dishing out five assists in addition to his two points in 16 minutes in his only game. He has more extensive national team experience at the junior levels.

He and fellow ASU newcomer Allen Mukeba have both played for Belgium’s U18 squad, although never at the same time.

Arizona State’s new-look roster

Meeusen joins Andrija Grbovic (Montenegro), Dame Salane (Senegal), Mor Massamba Diop (Senegal) and Jovan Icitovic (Serbia) as professional players to transfer internationally to Tempe this offseason.

Global talent goes further than that for the squad, as Mukeba (Oakland, Belgium) and Santiago Trouet (San Diego, Argentina) are NCAA transfers who previously transferred internationally.

Midseason enrollee Trevor Best is ASU’s lone scholarship returner from a season ago as coach Bobby Hurley enters his final season under contract.

The Sun Devils have all 15 scholarship spots filled, a number raised from 13 as a result of the House settlement.

Their 16th player — and only returner besides Best — is sophomore Quentin McCoy, a “designated student athlete,” or a walk-on grandfathered into the new rule system which eliminated walk-ons. He appeared in six games as a freshman.
