After suffering a narrow loss in the season opener against USC Saturday, Arizona State still hasn’t cracked the Associated Press’ top-25 poll.

The Sun Devils are in the “others receiving votes” category of this week’s poll, garnering 11 votes, while the Pac-12 rival Trojans stayed ranked at No. 20.

The Oregon Ducks are the only other top-ranked team in the conference, moving up from No. 12 to No. 11 after defeating Stanford on Saturday.

Alabama reached the No. 1 spot for the first time this season, continuing its record of consecutive seasons with at least one week on top of the rankings to 13.

After upsetting Clemson 47-40 in double overtime, Notre Dame jumped up to the No. 2 rank, pushing the Tigers down to No. 4. Ohio State remained at No. 3.

The Indiana Hoosiers moved up three spots after beating Michigan to receive their best ranking since they were No. 10 in 1969.

Other Pac-12 teams also on the outskirts to the top-25 this week included Utah, Washington and California.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
