ASU, Arizona draft products included in ESPN’s top prospects at different skills, traits

Four combined Arizona State and Arizona NFL Draft prospects were included in ESPN analyst Matt Bowen’s list of different skills and traits.

• Arizona State OL Max Iheanachor – Most explosive OL prospect
• Arizona State DB Keith Abney II – Best backfield vision
• Arizona DB Treydan Stukes – Most coverage versatility

WR Jordyn Tyson – Best body control, ball tracking

The 6-foot-2, 200-pound wideout is widely considered a Day 1 prospect that is likely to be selected in the middle of the first round, according to aggregate website NFL Mock Draft Database. Tyson emerged as ASU’s most dependable receiver by his junior season with 61 receptions for 711 yards and eight touchdowns in 2025.

He also had only two red zone drops and a knack for success when quarterbacks targeted him on deep passes across 21 games as a Sun Devil.

Tyson is a high riser with big-time ball skills and tracking ability. That shows up on third-level shot plays and in the red zone. He can finish as well, with 18 touchdowns over the past two seasons.

OL Max Iheanachor – Most explosive OL prospect

On top of his 6-foot-6, 321-pound stature, Iheanachor possesses an 83.25-inch wingspan and natural athleticism that resulted in a 4.91-second 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine. His 40 time was 0.01-seconds away from the best ever by an offensive lineman.

His standout performance at the Senior Bowl has also played a part in several NFL teams bringing him in for a top-30 visit while his draft stock rises to an early second-round grade with potential to sneak into the first round.

ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. mocked Iheanachor to the San Francisco 49ers at No. 27 overall in his latest mock draft.

Despite concerns about how raw he is as a pass protector, Bowen joins in the admiration for the physical traits the lineman brings to the table.

With his long, rangy frame and explosive movement ability, Iheanachor fits here. There is room for development in his pass-protection ability, but he has the traits NFL coaches want on the edges.

DB Keith Abney II – Best backfield vision

The All-Big 12 First Team selection finished second in the conference in pass breakups (12) and tied for his team’s lead in interceptions (two) in 2025.

Abney is viewed as a likely Day 2 pick (rounds 2-3) due his strengths in on-field intelligence and concerns about his size at 5-foot-10 and 188 pounds.

Abney accurately reads the quarterback from zone drops, which puts him in a position to finish on the ball. He had 20 pass breakups during the past two seasons.

DB Treydan Stukes – Most coverage versatility

Like Iheanachor, Stukes has the caught the attention of many during the pre-draft process. He finished top five in pass breakups and interceptions in the Big 12 last season and earned high marks from ESPN’s Field Yates during the NFL Combine.

NFL Mock Draft Database views Stukes as a consensus second-to-third round prospect that, according to Bowen, has the versatility to play all over the field in the secondary.

Stukes has the range to play from depth in a split-field scheme, plus he can roll down over the slot in three-safety nickel sets. He had four interceptions and six pass breakups last season, both career highs.
