ASU football moves up in latest AP Top 25 poll following bye week

Arizona State football moved up to No. 21 in The Associated Press’ Top 25 Poll following a bye week.

Arizona State (4-1, 2-0 Big 12) returned to the poll following its win against TCU on Sept. 26. ASU was ranked No. 11 in the preseason poll.

The Sun Devils also moved up in this week’s Coaches Poll, landing at No. 23.

This week, ASU will travel to Salt Lake City to face the Utah Utes (4-1, 1-1) on Saturday. Utah, which had the fourth-most votes among teams on the outside, was also on a bye in Week 5.

How rest of Big 12, nation is doing in AP Top 25 compared to ASU?

Four Big 12 teams were in the latest AP Poll with Texas Tech jumping up two spots to No. 9 following its 35-11 win against Houston on Saturday. Iowa State dropped eight spots to No. 22 following its loss to Cincinnati who was the first team out with 126 votes.

BYU jumped up five spots following its win against West Virginia.

Penn State and Texas dropped out of the Top 25 following losses to UCLA and Florida, respectively. Miami (FL) went up to No. 2 following a win against Florida State.
