Arizona State Sun Devils kicker Carter Brown was named the Pac-12’s Week 6 Special Teams Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.

Brown was perfect on all seven of his kicks in ASU’s 45-38 upset win over the then-No. 21 Washington Huskies on Saturday afternoon at Sun Devil Stadium.

The kicker hit his only field goal attempt of the day from 53 yards out in the first quarter to set a school record for the longest FG made by a true freshman. He also added six extra points.

Brown is now 9-for-10 on field goal attempts this season, with his only miss coming on a 48-yarder into the wind on a wet and rainy night at Oklahoma State.

His 18-for-18 mark on extra points makes him Arizona State’s highest scorer at 45 points.

The honor marks the second time he has been the best special teamer in the conference this season after also doing so in Week 1’s win over NAU.

Four other Sun Devils and two Arizona Wildcats found themselves among the nominees for the Pac-12’s weekly awards.

ASU quarterback Trenton Bourguet, defensive back Jordan Clark, defensive tackle Nesta Jade Silvera and offensive tackle Isaia Glass were nominated for their respective positions.
