Arizona State football ranked in top 15 of preseason coaches poll

The Arizona State Sun Devils were ranked among the top 25 teams in USA Today's preseason coaches poll released Monday.

The Arizona State Sun Devils were ranked among the top 25 teams in USA Today’s preseason coaches poll released Monday.

The Sun Devils came in at No. 11 in the poll. They were unranked in last year’s preseason poll.

ASU place in the top 25 comes after the Sun Devils took home the Big 12 Championship last season under head coach Kenny Dillingham. ASU went 11-3 last year, losing to Texas in the Peach Bowl. Speaking of Texas, the Longhorns sit atop the preseason poll.

The program now turns to quarterback Sam Leavitt to carry the offensive load after losing running back Cam Skattebo to the NFL.

Arizona State just wrapped up its first week of camp and will soon be heading to Camp Tontozona.
