ASU’s Jordyn Tyson listed as ‘Boom or Bust’ NFL Draft prospect

Pro Football Focus listed ASU’s Jordyn Tyson as a “Boom or Bust” NFL Draft prospect.

The uncertainty surrounding Tyson’s draft stock stems squarely from his injury history.

While the 6-foot-2, 200-pound wideout has recorded an 89.5 PFF receiving grade over the past two seasons (only four other Power Four receivers notched better marks), Tyson has missed a total of 18 games since 2022.

A torn ACL, MCL and PCL he suffered while playing for Colorado saw him absent for 15 games across the 2022 and 2023 seasons.

He then missed the entire 2024 postseason with a collarbone injury and was sidelined an additional three games in 2025 due to a hamstring ailment.

Max Chadwick of PFF believes Tyson can be a No. 1 wide receiver at the pro level if the former ASU standout can remain healthy.

If Tyson can stay on the field, he can be a No. 1 wide receiver for a franchise. That’s a big “if” though, and his medicals will go a long way in determining how high he is selected in April.

When Tyson has been on the field, he has produced at an elite level. His 2024 campaign saw him register 75 catches for 1,101 yards and 10 touchdowns in 12 games played. In 2025, the wideout reeled in 61 catches across nine games for eight touchdowns and 711 yards.

Tyson was invited to participate at the 2026 NFL Draft Combine in Indianapolis, which spans from Feb. 23 until March 2. The 2026 NFL Draft will be held in Pittsburgh on April 23–25.
