Raleek Brown breaks 88-yard touchdown on next play after fumble while hurdling
Raleek Brown kicked off a run of three rushing touchdowns with an 88-yarder late in Arizona State's win over Colorado to stay alive in Big 12 race.

Hurdling isn’t always the best idea.
Raleek Brown learned that during Arizona State’s 42-17 win on Saturday when the running back coughed up the ball while hurdling a Colorado defender, but he redeemed himself with an 88-yard touchdown on ASU’s next play from scrimmage.

The win keeps ASU alive in the Big 12 title race, though it still needs help.
Brown used a hesitation move while waiting for the hole to open up and once it did, he was gone. Brown tied Jeff Sims’ own 88-yard touchdown run in the Iowa State win for the longest play of ASU’s season.
Not only was it a bounce back from his own turnover, Brown’s touchdown also made it a 28-17 lead to give the Sun Devils the breathing room they needed when they were down 4-0 in the turnover battle at the time of Brown’s fumble.
He came in needing 177 rushing yards to cross the 1,000-yard mark for the season, and he finished with 255 yards. He added 33 yards on a receiving touchdown that started the scoring for Arizona State.
The touchdown Kanye Udoh scored from three yards out after his rushes of 25 and seven yards set up the score added on to the cushion and made it 35-17. Redshirt freshman Jason Brown Jr. added the first score of his college career to make it 42-17.
Arizona State committed four turnovers, and all of them occurred on the first or second play of the drive. Brown had his fumble, Sims threw two interceptions and freshman running back Demarius “Man Man” Robinson had his first fumble of his college career.
The ASU defense did well to manage the damage, as Colorado scored just three points off the four turnovers. ASU scored seven points off the Buffaloes’ lone turnover, a fumble on the drive after Brown’s fumble.

Raleek Brown has 2 more years of eligibility after this year. I really hope Dilly and some NIL money can convince him to stay for both years.
ASU is lucky that Colorado is beyond horrible. They play like this against UofA, and they won't be so lucky. Give Noah Fifita all day to throw, and he will shred them. I just don't understand why they NEVER blitz, and give the QB some pressure to fear.
I really hope the Devils don't commit four turnovers this coming Friday against Bear Down, otherwise the T-Cup will likely be heading back to (*cough*) Tucson.
