Raleek Brown forgoes senior year with ASU, set on NFL Draft
Arizona State running back Raleek Brown announced Wednesday that he will forgo his senior season and enter the 2026 NFL Draft.

Arizona State running back Raleek Brown announced Wednesday that he will forgo his senior season and enter the 2026 NFL Draft.
“I can honestly say, this university and this city is where everything in my life has come together for me, both as a person and as a football player. This is where I was meant to be,” he wrote on a post to his social media accounts. “We have the best and most devoted fans in the world, and it’s been so fun getting to know many of you and putting on for ASU every week.”
Brown thanked ASU head coach Kenny Dillingham, position coach Shaun Aguano and others, including his siblings and parents.
“With all of that said, after taking some time to discuss and evaluate all of my options closely with my dad, my family and my coaches, I am excited to share that I am ready to take the next step towards my dream by declaring for the 2026 NFL Draft,” Brown wrote.
Brown took the torch from 2024 Heisman candidate Cam Skattebo and ran with it after an injury-riddled 2024 season, his first at ASU after transferring from USC. Added weight helped Brown become a reliable every-down back, and he finished the season 18th in the country with 1,141 rushing yards on 6.1 yards per carry and four touchdowns.
He added 34 catches for 239 yards and two receiving touchdowns.
The season earned Brown First Team All-Big 12 honors, as he was the conference’s second-leading back by total yards behind BYU’s LJ Martin, who was the conference’s Offensive Player of the Year.
Brown joined the Sun Devils after two seasons at USC in 2022-23, when he struggled to find regular snaps and was even shifted to receiver.

Smart move Raleek Brown. You were the one consistent beacon on this years ball club. A great year.
Personally, I think Raleek Brown should have returned to ASU, so he could learn and get bigger and stronger. But it's hard to argue with $5.5 to $6 Million, which is what his contract for being a 3rd Round Picks figures to be.
IMHO, ASU can survive the loss of Raleek Brown, so long as they can hold onto Udoh and Kyson Brown. They'd be even better at RB if Demarius Robinson could put on some good weight, as well as get bigger and stronger. I also expect Dilly to add a RB or RBs in the portal. One big change in the transfer portal was that ASU would have only been able to add a limited number of players to their rosters. Now that number is unlimited, the only limit being that the total roster can't go over 85. Last year ASU added 31 via the Transfer Portal. My guess is that ASU would increase that number significantly
Originally, I had hoped all the players in the transfer portal would have stuck around to give moral support to Jeff Sims, who, IMHO, would really benefit from such encouragement. I hope and pray Sims surprises at the Sun Bowl and wins over a huge number from Sun Devil Nation.
I will be interested to see how much playing time Cameron Dyer gets. Rumors for the last couple months have been that Hines Ward really wants him to play WR. Dyer is a gigantic young man, and IMHO he would be an instant starter at WR.
Dilly has a massive rebuilding job on his hands. Hope he can pull it off. More importantly, I hope and pray that Crow/ Rossini and ASU's SSSSS boosters will step up and give Dilly a chance to put ASU in the elite category of Football schools. While I have almost unlimited faith in Dilly, I have zero, almost negative faith in Crow, Rossini and ASU's $$$$ boosters. The mass exodus evidences that the football world believes that Crow/ Rossini and ASU's $$$$ boosters are pathological liars.
