On the latest edition of the State of the Sun Devils podcast, Jesse Morrison and Damon Allred react to Arizona State receiving approval to extend athletic director Graham Rossini, discuss how the football team’s pass rush needs to step up in 2025 and the latest transfer portal news with the basketball teams.

Arizona State was given approval by the Arizona Board of Regents to extend Rossini and give him a pay raise. His extension runs through 2030.

Less than a year into Rossini’s tenure, Arizona State has captured four Big 12 championships, with the football program nearly advancing to the College Football Playoff semifinals.

The football program is currently taking part in spring practice and the team is trying to improve its pass rush.

Despite making the College Football Playoff last season, the Sun Devils were toward the bottom in the FBS in pass rush grade.

EDGE Clayton Smith is a player assistant that defensive line coach Vince Amey is looking at to build off a solid end to the 2024 season. Smith had 4.5 sacks in each of the past two seasons.
