State of the Sun Devils Podcast: Jesus Gomez propels Arizona State football to win over Baylor

On the latest episode of the State of the Sun Devils podcast, Jeremy Schnell, Jesse Morrison and Damon Allred react to Arizona State football opening Big 12 play with a 27-24 victory over Baylor.

Sun Devil kicker Jesus Gomez was 4-for-4 in the victory. His 43-yard field goal as time expired sealed the win for ASU.

Gomez is now 9-for-10 on field goals this season.

The Sun Devils have been looking for a receiver other than Jordyn Tyson to step up this season. On Saturday, Derek Eusebio had a solid performance with two receptions for 78 yards.

Eusebio’s 61-yard reception on a third down in the fourth quarter was a key play on an ASU touchdown drive.

With the win, the Sun Devils improved to 3-1 on the season and 1-0 in the Big 12. They have a huge game Friday at home against No. 24 TCU.
