Arizona Wildcats announce 2026-27 men’s basketball nonconference schedule

Arizona will play 14 nonconference games, including seven at McKale Center before Big 12 play begins.

The Arizona Wildcats unveiled their 2026-27 nonconference men’s basketball schedule on Wednesday.

The Wildcats also announced they will play three exhibition games against Division I opponents at McKale Center before opening their nonconference slate.

New this season, the NCAA expanded allowances for Division I programs to host up to three preseason exhibitions against fellow Division I opponents, which will see Arizona play San Francisco, San Diego State and Eastern Washington at McKale Center.

Arizona will then officially begin the season against longstanding rival UCLA in Las Vegas as part of the Hall of Fame Series.

The Wildcats will play a total of 14 nonconference games, including eight in the state of Arizona.

Who do the Arizona Wildcats play in their nonconference schedule?

Coming off Big 12 regular season and tournament titles and their first trip to the Final Four in 25 years, the Wildcats will open their season against the Bruins on Nov. 2 at the Hall of Fame Series in Las Vegas.

Later on the schedule, Arizona has the second legs of home-and home agreements against top competition.

The Wildcats will travel to Auburn to face the Tigers on Nov. 13 after routing them at McKale Center last season and then have a home game against UConn on Nov. 18, a rematch after the Wildcats toppled the Huskies in Storrs last season, 71-67.

The Wildcats will then go to Hawaii from Nov. 23-25 to participate in the 2026 Maui Invitational, along with BYU, Clemson, Ole Miss, Washington, VCU, Providence and Colorado State.

Arizona later has a trip to Madison Square Garden on the docket when it will play St. John’s in a home-and-home series that was announced in April. The Wildcats will face the Red Storm on Dec. 5 in New York. The return game is set to be played in Phoenix during the 2027-28 season.

The first matchup as part of the home-and-home series with John Calipari’s Arkansas that will take place over the next four seasons will see the Wildcats and Razorbacks square off in Phoenix at Mortgage Matchup Center on Dec. 19 as part of the Naismith Hall of Fame Series.
