Arizona football receives votes in preseason AP Top 25 poll
Arizona received 32 votes in the first AP Top 25 poll of the season, while Arizona State did not receive any votes.

The Associated Press’s Top 25 preseason poll for the 2026 college football season was released Monday, and the Arizona Wildcats were outside the top 25.
Arizona received 32 votes, four spots outside of the top 25, in the first AP Top 25 poll of the season. Arizona State did not receive any votes.
The 2026 season will mark the third for Brent Brennan as Arizona’s head coach. The Wildcats improved upon a disappointing 2024 season in 2025, finishing with a 9-4 overall record while going 6-3 in Big 12 play, including a win in the Territorial Cup against ASU.
Arizona’s 2026 season will see Noah Fifita back at quarterback for his senior season.
The Wildcats will kick off their season at Casino Del Sol Stadium in Tucson against Northern Arizona on Sept. 5.
How rest of the Big 12 fare in the preseason poll?
Big 12 favorite Texas Tech was the highest-ranked team in the poll at No. 12. BYU (14), Utah (21) and Houston (23) rounded out the rest of the Big 12 on the list.
