Arizona safety Treydan Stukes torches NFL Draft Combine with display of speed

Treydan Stukes, one of three Arizona safeties participating in the 2026 NFL Draft Combine, didn’t leave anything in the tank Friday after being clocked at 4.33 seconds in the 40-yard dash.

He finished with the third-fastest time for a safety prospect in Indianapolis. Meanwhile, his 10-yard split of 1.5 seconds came in second behind the fastest-recorded safety, Ohio State’s Lorenzo Styles Jr. (1.49 seconds), who also had the fastest 40 time of 4.27 seconds.

The former six-year Wildcat also took part in the vertical jump and broad jump, posting 38 inches (fifth-best among safeties) and 10 feet, 10 inches (tied for first) in the respective showcase events. He was rated by NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein as the ninth-best safety of the combine and has the chops to be an “average starter.”

Genesis Smith and Dalton Johnson, who spent a combined eight seasons in Tucson, also participated in the jumping events.

Smith took home top honors in the vertical jump among 16 safeties with a 42.5-inch leap, which came in third overall Friday with only Indiana cornerback D’Angelo Ponds and Ohio State linebacker Sonny Styles besting him at 43.5 inches. The 6-foot-2, 202-pounder produced the second-farthest broad jump from NFL safety prospects with 10 feet, 8 inches.

He did not partake in either of the speed/agility events.

Johnson hit all four disciplines, shining the brightest in the 40-yard dash. His 4.41-second time was sixth among 14 participating safeties.

The 5-foot-11 and 192-pound safety posted a 1.59-second 10-yard split, 36-inch vertical jump and broad jump of 9 feet, 11 inches.

Arizona State LB Keyshaun Elliott jumps and bench presses

Linebacker Keyshaun Elliott, the lone ASU Sun Devil doing combine work Friday, took part in both jumps and tried his hand at bench press.

The 6-foot-2, 231-pounder recorded a 38-inch vertical (sixth-best among 14 LBs), broad jump of 10 feet, 5 inches (tied for third-best) and 21 bench reps.

Three other Sun Devils were invited to Lucas Oil Stadium for the combine. Wide receiver Jordyn Tyson is not doing any on-field testing, cornerback Keith Abney II did not participate in any events and offensive tackle Max Iheanachor has the chance to show off his skills Sunday and Monday.

Offensive linemen measurements and other on-field work will be recorded Sunday, while Monday gives bench press the spotlight before this year’s NFL Draft Combine officially wraps up.
