Cardinals place S Joey Blount, TE Kenny Yeboah on IR

The Arizona Cardinals placed safety Joey Blount and tight end Kenny Yeboah on injured reserve Saturday, the team announced.

Both players will now be out for the 2026 season unless they agree to an injury settlement.

Blount is a four-year veteran out of Virginia. He started his career with the Seattle Seahawks before spending the last three years in Arizona.

The safety has 38 games of experience, totaling 20 tackles, two forced fumbles, an interception, a pass defended and a fumble recovered. Blount played in just one game last season.

Yeboah is also a four-year veteran. He spent the first four years of his career with the New York Jets, after finishing his college career at Ole Miss.

The 26-year-old tight end injured his knee prior to the 2025 season and was placed on IR. He was released later with an injury settlement and signed a one-year, $1.2 million contract with Arizona this offseason.

Yeboah has 33 games (two starts) under his belt, totaling nine receptions for 111 yards and a touchdown. He also played at least 75% of the Jets’ special teams snaps in his final three years with the team.
