Cardinals re-sign Vontarrius Dora back to the practice squad

The Arizona Cardinals’ pass rush added a familiar face on Thanksgiving re-signing defensive end Vontarrius Dora to the practice squad.

Dora saw significant action during the preseason but was waived due to injury in early September.

He was re-signed to the practice squad on Oct. 30 and elevated to the active roster last week against the Raiders. Dora did not play in the game and was released by the Cardinals on Nov. 20.

Two days later, Dora rejoins an Arizona pass rush that ranks fourth in the NFL, one of the few bright spots of an otherwise dismal 2-8 start to the season.

Dora has appeared in one NFL game as a rookie in 2016 with the Denver Broncos.

Earlier in 2018, Pro Football Focus ranked Dora as one of the best preseason edge rushers highlighted during the Week 3 game against the Dallas Cowboys when he racked up three sacks and a forced fumble.
