Devin Fitzgerald, son of Arizona Cardinals legend Larry Fitzgerald, received an offer from Bill Belichick and North Carolina, he announced on social media Sunday night.

“I had the privilege of speaking with Coach Belichick, one of the greatest to ever do it, and I am thrilled to announce that I have received an offer from the University of North Carolina!” the young wideout said in a post on X.

UNC marks the latest institution vying for the 2026 recruit’s services, joining Arizona State, Arizona, UCLA, Boston College, Clemson, Duke and Florida State, among others, according to 247 Sports. Pittsburgh, where his father attended college, also sent an offer.

“Obviously ASU is a program that’s truly on the rise,” the former Cardinal told Arizona Sports when asked about his son’s offer to the program. “Coach (Kenny) Dillingham is one of the best coaches in all of football in terms of developing players and really galvanizing the community here and the Valley.

“I love (Dillingham’s) approach and his commitment to the Valley. He’s a local guy, he wants to do it big here and wants to really enjoy his time here,”

Where does Devin Fitzgerald rank in the 2026 class?

The young wideout out of Brophy High School ranks as the fourth highest 2026 recruit in Arizona. He ranks 84th nationally for 2026 wide receiver recruits and is one spot below fellow Brophy wide receiver Daylen Sharper, son of former NFLer Darren Sharper.

Bastian and Case Vanden Bosch, sons of former pro linebacker Kyle Vanden Bosch, and Donovan McNabb Jr., son of former NFL quarterback Donovan McNabb, are also on Brophy’s depth chart.
