Kitan Crawford exits Cardinals-Bengals with ankle injury

Arizona Cardinals rookie safety Kitan Crawford went down with an ankle injury in the second quarter of Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

He’s did not return after being ruled as questionable.

Wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. also left the game late with a heel injury. He saw just one target and did not reel it in.

Crawford walked off the field under his own power but was eventually carted off due to the issue.

Arizona’s safeties room was already thin before Crawford’s exit with Budda Baker out with a concussion and thumb issue.

With Baker out, Rabbit Taylor-Demerson slid into a starting role alongside Jalen Thompson. Crawford served as the next man up in the rotation before doing down.

Rookie linebacker Cody Simon marked the biggest bright spot for Arizona’s defense with 15 tackles, 0.5 sacks and a QB hit.

Tight end Trey McBride paced the offense behind 10 catches for 76 yards and a touchdown. It was yet another record-setting day for the tight end.
