Malik Willis is signing with the Miami Dolphins, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
The three-year deal is worth $67.5 million with $45 million fully guaranteed.
The Arizona Cardinals were also heavily linked to Willis, the top free-agent quarterback, this offseason.
The veteran quarterback is coming off his second season with the Green Bay Packers.
Across 11 games played (three starts) the past two seasons, Willis threw for 972 yards and six touchdowns to no interceptions on 78.7% passing. He added 261 yards and three scores on 42 rushing attempts.
But it was his last-season showing in 2025 that really got his name out there as a top free-agent quarterback option this offseason.
Willis completed nine of his 11 passes for 121 yards and a touchdown, while rushing for another 44 yards on six carries filling in midgame for an injured Jordan Love in Week 16.
Starting the following week against the Baltimore Ravens, Willis completed 85.7% of his throws for 288 yards and a score. He added another two touchdowns and 60 yards on the ground.
Neither game resulted with a Packers win and represent a rather small sample size but did show what Willis could potentially offer a team in need of a signal caller.
He’ll now get a chance to prove that for a Dolphins team that just released former franchise quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.
As for the Cardinals, the search for their next franchise quarterback continues.

No he didn’t, that’s far too much money for such an unproven track record. The Dolphins don’t have a track record of success with QBs this deal will no doubt blow up in their face I am glad AZ passed. You’re nothing more than a pathetic troll anyways, had AZ of signed Willis to a good deal you’d have the exact opposite opinion of what you regurgitated above.
If the team has 'outs' in the contract its a fine risk. Willis showed some serious potential. If he turns into a starter quality QB, 22m a year is a bargain.
