Texans wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. met the Houston media on Wednesday, his first press conference since getting traded by the Arizona Cardinals.

Harrison fielded a series of questions about what he will add to the Texans and what he will take from his Cardinals experience, the latter of which he kept vague.

“There’s a lot of factors, I think with any situation you always want to take accountability for yourself,” Harrison said when asked about why it did not work out in Arizona. “I’m just looking forward to the future.”

Asked what he learned with the Cardinals, he added, “Those things I’ll keep to myself. Definitely learned a lot and I’m really just looking forward.”

Head coach DeMeco Ryans said Harrison will make his Texans debut on Sunday in London against the Jacksonville Jaguars, when the receiver will reunite on the field with his college quarterback at Ohio State, C.J. Stroud.

The Cardinals took Harrison with the No. 4 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. After two underwhelming seasons compared to expectations, Harrison caught five passes over the first four games of this season and was traded along with a sixth-round pick for picks in the second and seventh rounds. The trade was finalized on Monday.

There were clips that went viral earlier this season of Harrison seemingly not giving his full effort on blocks, which drew questions about his commitment. A similar question was brought up on Wednesday.

“Everybody has their own opinions,” Harrison said. “I know who I am as a player, I know who I am as a person. However people want to label or think of me, that’s their opinions.”

Harrison called himself a well-rounded receiver and said playing with Stroud again should be beneficial for getting up to speed.

The Texans and Jaguars kick off at 6:30 a.m. MST on Sunday with the game airing on NFL Network.
