TEMPE — Last year “sucked” for Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr.
In what was supposed to be a breakout Year 2 for the wideout, it instead was littered with injuries and missed time, something Harrison hadn’t dealt with in his football career.
A quick recap of the ailments he picked up along the way — both on and off the field — in 2025:
– Concussion
– Appendicitis
– Heel injury
– Foot injury
And while Harrison can do everything he normally would on the practice field, getting back to 100% physically is still an “ongoing process,” he said Tuesday.
“I don’t think it’s going to linger into next season for sure,” Harrison added when asked about his foot injuries. “I think with your feet, you use them all the time. So, that’s kind of where that makes the process take probably a little longer than maybe usual. It’s definitely nothing that prevents me from anything at the moment. I go 100%. I’m still out there doing everything I normally would do. But it’s just like an ongoing process for sure.”
Much like Harrison said, he’s been an active participant during the open portion of organized team activities the past three weeks, unlike others on the roster.
That included Tuesday, when Harrison was again working on his game alongside Gardner Minshew, Trey McBride and Kendrick Bourne.
So even if there’s still a box or two to check in the health department, Harrison appears well on his way there.
Because while getting past last year is critical, staying healthy is even more important. It’s a big reason why that area has been a primary goal for Harrison this offseason.
You can’t impact the game if you’re watching from the sideline.
“I feel like if I’m out there, everything else is going to take care of itself,” Harrison said. “So just doing the best I can and making sure my body’s right week in and week out.”
Appearing in 12 games last season (10 starts) did him no favors when looking at Harrison’s receiving totals.
Catching 41 passes for 608 yards and four touchdowns, Harrison fell short of expectations and his production the year prior (62 catches for 885 yards and eight scores).
He now gets a chance to make up for lost time in a Mike LaFleur-led offense that has the wide receiver excited about the possibilities.
“I think just the different things that we kind of do with motions and shifts and really just the different pieces we get to have,” Harrison said.
“Really having Trey, having Mike, having (Jeremiyah Love, James Conner, Tyler Allgeier, Bourne). We have so many weapons. I think really that’s kind of the biggest thing is just having those different pieces around you to kind of free you up as well.”

His biggest setback since he came into the league was a midget QB who could not see him down the field... Gardner and Beck will help him and Mike Wilson have great years now!
It was MHJ who dropped the balls that hit him in the midsection, not KM.
Remember this "generational talent" at number 4 when you think about Love at 3
