Rams swing massive trade for All-Pro pass rusher Myles Garrett

Just when you thought the NFC West couldn’t get any tougher.

The Los Angeles Rams have acquired All-Pro pass rusher Myles Garrett from the Cleveland Browns, according to multiple reports.

The Rams are reportedly sending two-time Pro Bowler and pass rusher Jared Verse, a 2027 first-round pick, a 2028 second-round pick and a 2029 third-round pick back to Cleveland.

Garrett is coming off a meteoric season in 2025 highlighted by a new NFL single-season record for sacks with 23. He added 33 tackles for loss, three forced fumbles and 39 quarterback hits in 17 starts. Garrett took home AP Defensive Player of the Year.

Across his nine-year career, Garrett has won two DPOY awards and has been named to seven Pro Bowls and seven All-Pro teams.

He now jumps to a Rams squad that was vying for the No. 1 seed last year before finishing 12-5 and making it to the NFC championship game.

One of his new running mates is Byron Young, who racked up 12 sacks, 12 tackles for loss and 29 QB hits for the Rams last year.

Verse, meanwhile, will look to keep his career trending upward in Cleveland following back-to-back Pro Bowl nods and a 2024 AP Defensive Rookie of the Year honor.

His divisional back-and-forths with Arizona Cardinals running back Trey Benson will at the very least be put on hold now.
