Cardinals name J.P. Shadrick as new play-by-play announcer to replace Dave Pasch

The Arizona Cardinals named J.P. Shadrick as their new radio play-by-play voice Tuesday after Dave Pasch left the organization this offseason for a larger role with ESPN.

Shadrick, who has more than 20 years of play-by-play experience across the NFL, college football, the PGA Tour and minor-league baseball, will team with second-year analyst and former NFL center A.Q. Shipley for games broadcasted by Arizona Sports 98.7.

They’ll be joined by reporter Dani Sureck in her debut season as a sideline reporter.

Shadrick spent the last 14 years with the Jacksonville Jaguars as senior reporter and editor. He also hosted weekly shows with Jaguars head coaches and served as host of pre- and postgame radio shows.

He has worked as a national NFL play-by-play man for Westwood One Sports since 2022 and done college football play-by-play for Touchdown Radio Network since 2017.

Shadrick is a 2004 University of Alabama graduate from Trussville, Alabama.

His debut as voice of the Cardinals will come Thursday, Aug. 13 for the team’s second preseason game at 5 p.m. against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Pasch called Cardinals games on the radio for the past 24 years and departed this offseason for a larger role in ESPN’s NFL coverage.
