Valley native Brock Purdy throws touchdowns to Kittle vs. Cardinals to move up 49ers’ record ladder
Brock Purdy threw a touchdown to George Kittle early in his second start as a pro in Arizona to move up the 49ers' record books as a duo.

It didn’t take long for the Valley’s own Brock Purdy to get on the board with a San Francisco 49ers touchdown against the Cardinals in his third game in Arizona as a pro.
Although his day started with an incompletion, he quickly began dicing up the Arizona defense with passes of 25 and 13 yards to set up the 30-yard connection with George Kittle over the top of the defense to score.

The score moved Purdy and Kittle up the 49ers’ franchise record books for touchdowns by a QB-TE duo, tying Steve Young and Brent Jones for No. 2 with 22 scores. Alex Smith and Vernon Davis hold the record with 30.
The duo broke the tie late in the third quarter with a score that gave them 23 as a pair and gave San Francisco a 35-10 lead.
Purdy also tossed a touchdown to Christian McCaffrey early in the second quarter.
He finished the game with 200 passing yards and the three scores on 19 of 26 passing in a 41-22 win.
Sunday marked Purdy’s second start in his hometown and his third of the 2025 season.
He was 16 of 25 for 242 yards and four touchdowns in his first Arizona start, as the 49ers won 45-29 on Dec. 17, 2023. He had seven snaps and no pass attempts in his first hometown appearance, a 38-10 win on Nov. 21, 2022.
Purdy’s start in the Week 11 matchup was a return to action since reaggravating a turf toe injury in Week 4 after it kept him out of Weeks 2-3.
He had 586 passing yards while completing 65.8% of passes with four touchdowns and four interceptions in the two games he played this season.

multiple things can be true. Kyler is not the issue and is a fine qb, he isnt the type of Qb we should be paying 50 mil. Jacoby is playing great, but the offense was clearly changed so the comparison to the first 5 games isnt even close to apples to apples.
The comment was more about the dishonest conversation around this season, headed by bickley who is changing is takes purely based on what he thinks will get more clicks.
Your post seems like more of a pro Kyler statement.
Look at the stat? How about be honest, how about follow the team? How about hold the coaching staff accountable?
The cards have been a run first team the last two years and to start this year. It is why dan Bickely correctly wrote the article after the titans about petzing taking the cuffs off and letting Murray air it out. Then, with Kyler out, JB was the beneficiary of Kyler pulling this offense through the mud the first 5 games to wake up petzing and force him to change his play calling. Everyone is straight up lying saying the only thing different is JB. They literally changed the whole offensive identity!
None of that is to say Kyler is the future. You don't pay a guy 50+ million who is still a question mark. But to pretend the difference in the offense the last 4 weeks is just JB is a straight up, dishonest lie, pushed by click bait seeking dan Bickely!
