TEMPE — Arizona Cardinals cornerback Will Johnson is officially inactive for Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The cornerback was a limited participant for the final two days of practice after missing the first day of work with hip and back issues.

Sunday marks the second straight game Johnson will miss due to the injuries.

In six games (four starts) this season, Johnson has recorded 19 tackles, six passes defensed and a forced fumble.

Joining Johnson on the sideline for the matchup are running backs Trey Benson (knee) and Emari Demercado (ankle), pass rusher Baron Browning (concussion), wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. (appendicitis) and safety Rabbit Taylor-Demerson (ankle), who were all ruled out ahead of Sunday.

Offensive lineman Hayden Conner (knee) is also out this week after not being activated off injured reserve. Pass rusher Xavier Thomas and defensive lineman Bilal Nichols are also inactive.

Kelvin Beachum good to go for Cardinals-Jaguars

Despite logging just one day of limited work at practice this week, offensive tackle Kelvin Beachum is officially active.

That’s good news for Arizona, which lost starting right tackle Jonah Williams to a season-ending shoulder injury this week.

Beachum figures to slide into that vacant role opposite Paris Johnson Jr.

Offensive lineman Will Hernandez, defensive lineman Darius Robinson and cornerback Garrett Williams are also good to go against Jacksonville.

I've saying all along great talent but this is the reason why he wasn't drafted in 1st round, he's always injured 😕

My point is this. IMHO, players with Will Johnson's injury history, can overcome that label by dedicating themselves to improving their overall conditioning. One of the biggest complaints I have with Gannon and the Cardinals, is how they're not emphasizing having the best strength and conditioning staffs possible - The Cardinals current staff is rated 31st out of 32. Pathetic.

Rob Gronkowski is a classic example. He also feel to the 2nd round because of injury concerns, then when he got into the NFL became one of the NFL's biggest workout warriors. Budda Baker is another. I would like to see every Cardinal adopt a similar philosophy and dedication.

If oft-injured in college, you'll be trouble as a pro.
i watched him at Michigan and doubted the pick from the start. Durability is key when drafting, especially when the injuries are repeatedly soft tissue.
i wouldn't reference Budda and Will together. When losing all these tight games they need big time players to step up in big-time moments. If he really is big-time his absence has been a factor in these tight game fails...doesn't show for mates.
