WR Cooper Kupp agrees to terms with his home state Seahawks on 3-year, $45 million deal
WR Cooper Kupp agreed to a three-year deal with the Seattle Seahawks on Friday, where the NFL veteran will return to his home state.

Cooper Kupp and the Seattle Seahawks have agreed on a three-year, $45 million contract, a person with knowledge of the deal told The Associated Press.
The person spoke to the AP on condition of anonymity Friday because the contract hasn’t been signed.
Kupp, the Super Bowl 56 MVP, was released by the Los Angeles Rams on Wednesday. He’ll help replace DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett for his home state team in Seattle, which traded quarterback Geno Smith and signed Sam Darnold in free agency.
Kupp, who starred in college at Eastern Washington and is from Yakima, Washington, was the AP Offensive Player of the Year in 2021 when he won the receiving triple crown by catching 145 passes for 1,947 yards and 16 touchdowns. Kupp added 33 catches for 478 yards and six TDs in the postseason, including the winning touchdown in a Super Bowl win over Cincinnati on the Rams’ home field.
Kupp has been plagued by injuries the past three seasons and hasn’t had 900 yards receiving in any season.

Could have had a Pro Bowl, All Pro, Super Bowl MVP veteran to help out the Cards young receivers and they get.... Fekoho? No disrespect to Fekoho but (and I'm thinking he would agree), he's not Cooper Kupp.
Wow what an absolute atrocity of a contract, SEA drastically overpaid for a dude who’s in a steep decline looking worse each year these past three seasons than he did the year before.
Yea he’s been plagued by injuries but that’s not why he was released, or atleast not the main reason . He was released because he can no longer seperate anymore or catch anything that isn’t a quick out between 5-10yrs from the LOS because of it. To pay him 15 million per year is ludicrous id much rather of kept Lockett in a reworked deal if I’m in SEA. Kupp doesn’t help them at all n if SEAs drafts a WR High he will be an impediment more than anything keeping young talent who should be learning the ropes on the bench.
With Darnold at QB (who has one of the worst pass blocking OLs in football who I don’t think will work at all in SEA) as often he will be hit n chased down or sacks u don’t see Kupp doing much this year, say he has 62 receptions for 650YDs n 4/5TDs is that worth $15M/YR LOL?
These moves are so obvious, like low hanging fruit, I am now certain that Monti is either 1) not near as smart as he tries to come off as, or 2) not being allowed to spend the money on orders from Mr. B.
This absolute fail of a FA period is inexcusable for a team with the money and the need. We got playoff difference better at ONE position.
