Arizona Cardinals sign first-round pick Haason Reddick

Jun 8, 2017, 12:56 PM

The Arizona Cardinals signed first-round pick Hassan Reddick to a four-year contract Thursday.

The inside linebacker from Temple was selected by the Cardinals 13th overall in last April’s draft, and was the final player from the team’s 2017 draft class to sign a contract.

The former walk-on payed his way through college, where he totaled 150 tackles, 18 sacks and 46 tackles for loss.

A defensive lineman in college, Reddick is learning to play inside linebacker in the NFL and has received work with the first-team defense due to starter Deon Bucannon being sidelined following ankle surgery.

Through OTAs and mini-camp Reddick has drawn rave reviews, including from his defensive coordinator James Bettcher.
