The Phoenix Suns will sign G League point guard Shaquille Harrison to a 10-day deal and waive point guard Josh Gray, reports 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station’s John Gambadoro.

Gray’s second 10-day contract signed Feb. 12 was set to expire before Phoenix opens its post-All-Star break schedule Friday by hosting the Los Angeles Clippers. At that point, the Suns would have been required to sign him for the rest of the year if they did not let him walk.

Harrison is a rangier point guard than Gray at 6-foot-4 and 190 pounds.

In 36 games this season with the Northern Arizona Suns, he is averaging 11 points, 3.5 assists, 4.7 rebounds and 1.9 steals per game while shooting 46 percent overall and 32 percent from three.

The 24-year-old entered training camp with the Suns and played for the team in the Las Vegas Summer League. In three games there, he averaged 10.3 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals in 22.3 minutes per game.

Harrison, who in 2016 went undrafted out of Tulsa, will be eligible to sign a second 10-day contract when his first runs out, though the clock will not begin running until the signing is made official.
