Inching closer to a return, the Phoenix Suns sent forward Alan Williams to the Northern Arizona Suns for another rehabilitation assignment.

The third-year pro has not yet played this season as he continues to recover from a torn meniscus in his right knee suffered on Sept. 22.

This is Williams’ second stint in the G League as he is not expected to make his season debut with Phoenix until he plays a game for Northern Arizona. The Suns told media that Williams will remain with Northern Arizona for the week, giving him three games before his expected NBA season debut on Monday against Boston.

Williams averaged 7.4 points and 6.2 rebounds per game during the 2016-17 season in 47 games played.
