The Phoenix Suns 2011-12 schedule has been released. Now, if only the NBA’s owners and players could reach an agreement on a new CBA the games could actually be played.

Anyway, If the legal side of things gets settled the Suns are set to open the season at home November 2nd against Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder. It is the first of three straight home games against teams that made the playoffs last year, as the Suns also host the Lakers and Trail Blazers.

From there they will hit the road for a season-long six game trip, which will include games against Memphis, Minnesota, Indiana, Milwaukee, Detroit and Toronto.

Of the Suns’ first 17 games, 12 are against teams that made the playoffs last year. If they hope to return to the postseason, though, Phoenix will need to get off to a decent start against tough competition.

In total the Suns have just five road trips of at least four games, and they are in January, February, March and April.

The team has a season-long homestand from March 2-18, which will include nine games — including one against the defending NBA Champion Dallas Mavericks.

In all the schedule is fairly balanced. The Suns have 15 back-to-back sets, which is one fewer than last season’s total of 16.

The Suns will also be on national TV a total of 13 times, with games against the Lakers (Feb. 17), Mavericks (March 8), Celtics (Jan. 20, March 12), Bulls (Nov. 18) and Magic (Dec. 9) being featured.
