The Phoenix Suns just have the Denver Nuggets’ number.

Denver came into Phoenix on a five-game winning streak overall, but a four-game losing streak against the Suns — something had to give. Unfortunately for Denver, the latter streak would remain intact.

Led by Gerald Green’s 18 points from three-point range and 24 points overall, the Suns cruised to a 120-112 victory over the Nuggets on Thanksgiving eve. Phoenix did not score fewer than 27 points in any quarter of the offensively-intense game.

The Suns outshot the Nuggets from the field, three-point-line and free throw line on Wednesday, controlling the game for long stretches. Only one Suns player (Alex Len) had a negative plus/minus (-2).

Phoenix was forced to play without guard Isaiah Thomas, who missed the game with an ankle contusion. The Suns hope he can play when these two teams meet again on Friday.

Before you go off to enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday, here’s a look at Wednesday’s win by the numbers:

2

Number of double-doubles for the Suns. Markieff Morris (15 points and 10 rebounds) and Eric Bledsoe (21 points and 10 assists) each had a double-double in Phoenix’s 10th win of the season.

4

Miles Plumlee and Markieff Morris were a two-man block party against Denver. The two men accounted for all eight of Phoenix’s blocks — each setting a new personal season-high with four rejections.

5

The Suns have won their last five games against the Nuggets overall and 16 of the last 19. Phoenix swept the Nuggets last season and will meet them again on Friday in Denver

5:21

It did not take long for the Suns to get on the board, as all five starters scored in the game’s first 5:21.

6

Gerald Green was on fire from beyond the arc, knocking down a Suns’ season-high six 3-pointers. He finished with a team-high 24 points in 26:10 off the bench.

7

The Suns spread the love around as seven players scored in the double digits (Markieff Morris (15), Marcus Morris (14), Goran Dragic (20), Eric Bledsoe (21), Gerald Green (24), Alex Len (10) and P.J. Tucker (10))

52

The Suns shot a whopping 52 percent from 3 — besting their overall field goal percentage (51 percent). Led by Green, Phoenix hit 13 of 25 shots from downtown.

64

There was plenty of offense to go around on Wednesday night in Phoenix. Each team had 64 points by halftime. It was the most points allowed by the Suns in the first half this season.
