Phoenix Rising FC acquire Ramone Howell from Nashville

Phoenix Rising FC has traded for Nashville SC midfielder Ramone Howell, according to a press release from the team.
Howell has made four appearances with the Nashville club since signing with them in 2018. He has scored no goals or assists in those matches.
Howell is a 24-year-old from Jamaica and came to America in 2014 to play soccer for Valparaiso University. From there he joined the Des Moines Menace, another USL-level team before completing a transfer to Nashville SC. Despite being sparsely-used with Nashville, the midfielder has made impacts on the pitch, including helping set up a game-tying goal against Cincinnati FC in 2018, which helped Nashville advanced to the USL Cup Playoffs and set up another goal in a preseason game this against Louisville City FC, per Nashville SC’s website.
Howell could help make up for the loss of Kevon Lambert, who the team recently lost to the Jamaican national team in preparation for the Gold Cup.
The midfielder will be available for Saturday’s 7:30 p.m. match against Orange County SC, which will be broadcasted live on ESPN Phoenix 620 AM.
