When it comes to injuries, it seems as though Phoenix Suns center Alex Len just can’t catch a break.
And when he finally does, it’s the kind of break he didn’t want.
Len took an accidental shot to his face from Portland Trail Blazers center Chris Kaman in the fourth quarter of Monday night’s loss, breaking his nose. The team announced he underwent successful surgery to repair the nose, and is expected to be sidelined at least a week.
The second-year pro has already missed time this season due to ankle issues, but when he has been on the court, has been a bit of a revelation.
The 7-foot-1, 255-pound former Maryland Terrapin has averaged 6.3 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game.
