The Phoenix Suns and the Memphis Grizzlies paid tribute to NBA legend Kobe Bryant to start the game on Sunday.
The Grizzlies won the tip and proceeded to commit a 24-second violation.
Meanwhile, the Suns committed an 8-second violation to pay tribute to both of Byrant’s numbers.
Fans in the stands could be heard chanting Kobe’s name.
Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna “Gigi” Bryant, were among the nine people who died in a helicopter crash on Sunday in Calabasas, California.
They were traveling to one of Gigi’s basketball games.
The Toronto Raptors and San Antonio Spurs paid the same tribute in their earlier game.
