If you haven’t heard already, you have now.
Devin Booker is an NBA All-Star for the very first time in his five-year career.
The Phoenix Suns guard took to Instagram on Friday night and posted a picture of himself on a plane reading a newspaper headlined “All-star after all” with a photo of Booker plastered on the front page.
Booker became an All-Star as a replacement for injured Portland Trailblazers guard Damien Lillard, who is out due to a groin injury.
In fact, Lillard even suggested Booker be his substitute in an interview after the game he suffered the aforementioned groin injury.
Booker will join Team LeBron and also replace Lillard in the NBA 3-Point Contest, which the Suns guard won in 2017-18.
The 3-Point Contest is slated for Saturday night at 7 p.m. in Chicago and will be followed up by the NBA All-Star Game on Sunday at 6 p.m.
