It might just be one of those years for the Phoenix Suns. Just as they got the healthiest they’ve been since the start of the season, they are down a significant player.

Kelly Oubre Jr. was listed as out on the injury report for Wednesday’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers due to a right knee injury. No further details were made available as to the severity of the injury or what type it was as of Wednesday morning’s shootaround.

Oubre, 24, is having the best season of his career. He’s averaging career highs in points (18.7) and rebounds (6.4) per game while shooting 45.2% from the field and 35.2% beyond the three-point line.

The Suns recently signed Oubre to a two-year contract extension last offseason and the lefty’s name came up in trade reports before the trade deadline.

Oubre had 16 points, three rebounds, two assists a steal and a block in 38 minutes for the Suns in Sunday’s win on the road versus the Utah Jazz.

Wednesday’s game is set for tip-off at 7 p.m. and you can listen to all the action on 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station.
