Suns’ Chris Paul, Devin Booker already hit the hardwood at Sarver’s house

If the news of 10-time All-Star point guard Chris Paul coming to the Valley wasn’t enough for Phoenix Suns fans, it just got even better.

Roughly 24 hours after the trade became official, Paul and Suns star Devin Booker were already putting in the work together.

And where would be better for the duo to host their first shootaround as teammates than at owner Robert Sarver’s house?

But Tuesday night wasn’t the first time Paul had played on that hardwood.

That’s because the court is from the 2009 NBA All-Star Game that was hosted in Phoenix at the then-US Airways Center.

Paul was the starting point guard for the 2008-09 Western Conference All-Stars in what was just his second of 10 career ASG selections.

How old was Booker at the time? Only 12 years old…

Now Paul, 35, and Booker, 24, are already at work to try to turn around Phoenix’s fortunes that have plagued the Valley’s oldest professional sports franchise which has not made the playoffs since the 2009-10 season.

Indeed, there hasn’t been this much optimism around the Suns in a decade, when Paul was a similar age to Booker right now.
