Former Phoenix Sun Kelly Oubre Jr. is on the move for the second time in less than a week as the Oklahoma City Thunder are nearing a deal to send him to the Golden State Warriors, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

The deal will ship a Warriors 2021 protected first-round pick to the Thunder in exchange for Oubre.

Oubre, who played 96 games in one-and-a-half seasons with the Suns, was part of the deal between the Thunder and the Suns on Monday that sent 10-time NBA All-Star Chris Paul to Phoenix.

Golden State will be taking on Oubre’s entire $14.4 million salary, according to Wojnarowski.

He figures to aid the Warriors in replacing Klay Thompson, who Wojnarowski reported will miss his second consecutive season after suffering an Achilles tear.

Oubre Jr. averaged 18.7 points per game and 6.4 rebounds with Phoenix last season.

He joins guard Danny Green in only having Oklahoma City as a footnote on their career resume, as the Thunder acquired Green from the Los Angeles Lakers just to flip him to Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday for Al Horford and draft picks.

Along with Oubre Jr., the Phoenix Suns also traded guards Ricky Rubio, Ty Jerome and Jalen Lecque in addition to a protected 2022 first-round pick for Paul and forward Abdel Nader.
