The Phoenix Suns announced Monday they have signed big man Johnathan Motley, increasing their roster for training camp to 16 players.

The team also announced the official additions of guards E’Twaun Moore and Langston Galloway, plus center Damian Jones. All were free agent additions.

Yahoo! Sports’ Keith Smith reported that Motley’s deal is a training camp contract, but from a numbers perspective the three-time All-G League forward could have a chance to make Phoenix’s roster for the 2020-21 season.

For the Agua Caliente Clippers last year, the 25-year-old Motley averaged 24.0 points on 51.7% shooting.

The 6-foot-8, 230-pound big man grabbed 8.1 rebounds, adding 3.2 assists and 1.0 blocks in 26 games last year.

Motley, who went undrafted out of Baylor in 2017, has 46 games of NBA experience with the Dallas Mavericks (2017-18) and Los Angeles Clippers (2018-20).

He averaged 4.9 points and 2.4 rebounds in 8.1 minutes per game as an NBA player.

Phoenix will hold virtual media days this week and open camp before they begin a four-game preseason against the Utah Jazz on Dec. 12. The Suns on Dec. 14 face the Jazz again on the road before hosting the Los Angeles Lakers Dec. 16 and 18 to round out the preseason schedule.

The NBA has yet to release the regular season schedule.
