The Arizona Cardinals will not have receiver Larry Fitzgerald for their 2020 regular season finale, as a groin injury put him on the inactives list against the Los Angeles Rams.

Fitzgerald did not participate in practices this week. The 17-year pro, whose future is uncertain heading into next year, missed two games on the COVID-19 reserve list this season but hasn’t missed a game because of injury since 2014.

The 37-year-old is joined on the inactives list by quarterback Brett Hundley, running back Eno Benjamin, cornerback Jace Whittaker, center Lamont Gaillard and offensive tackle Josh Miles.

Meanwhile, Cardinals running back Chase Edmonds will give it a go in Arizona’s must-win game to assure a playoff spot. He was questionable to play and did not practice all week with a hip injury.

Safety Budda Baker (neck), tight end Maxx Williams (ankle) and tight end Darrell Daniels (hamstring) are all active after entering the regular season finale listed as questionable.

With Fitzgerald out and fellow starting wide receiver Christian Kirk on the COVID-19 reserve list, Arizona will lean more on second-year pros KeeSean Johnson and Andy Isabella, plus third-year pro Trent Sherfield in the passing game.

Isabella has been inactive the past three games and hasn’t suited up since Arizona’s 38-28 home loss to the Rams on Dec. 6.

Among the Rams players questionable heading into the game is rookie running back Cam Akers, who will suit up and could take on a bigger workload with Darrell Henderson Jr. on the injured reserve.

The Rams entered with Akers (ankle) and linebacker Leonard Floyd (abdomen) questionable to play.

Los Angeles had already ruled out quarterback Jared Goff (thumb surgery) and linebacker Micah Kiser (knee). John Wolford will make his NFL debut as the team’s starting quarterback. Recent pickup Blake Bortles is the only active quarterback behind Wolford.

The team’s leading receiver, Cooper Kupp, is also out after reportedly contracting COVID-19.

Goff, Kiser, rookie quarterback Bryce Perkins, offensive lineman Brian Allen and receiver Trishton Jackson are the Rams’ inactives.
