Grand Canyon’s game on Friday postponed due to COVID-19 protocols

Grand Canyon men’s basketball game on Friday against UT Rio Grande Valley has been postponed due to COVID-19 protocols, the school announced on Thursday.
The Antelopes are scheduled to play against the Vaqueros on Saturday and a decision on that game will be made on Friday.
GCU has had four games canceled so far this season. It’s off to a 6-0 start in conference play, including two recent victories over conference powerhouse New Mexico State.
A handful of teams in the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) have had scheduled affected by games being called off. The Aggies have only played six total games all season, with just the two losses against Grand Canyon being their only conference games. Chicago State has zero conference games and Seattle U has one.
Grand Canyon is led by senior center Asbjorn Midtgaard, who is averaging a team-high 14.8 points, 9.7 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game.
