DeAndre Hopkins on Instagram to JJ Watt: ‘Let’s finish what we started’

Feb 16, 2021, 2:41 PM

Arizona Cardinals All-Pro wideout DeAndre Hopkins put on his recruiter hat Tuesday.

With the Houston Texans granting J.J. Watt’s request to be released last week, the three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year has his choice of where he will be suiting up next.

So it should come as no surprise that Hopkins used the power of Photoshop to give a shout at his former teammate that he should come to Arizona.

Players from around the league chimed in with their two cents, but perhaps the most notable came from tight end George Kittle of the NFC West division rival San Francisco 49ers.

“Hey relax man,” Kittle commented on the post with a laughing emoji.

It’s understandable why Kittle would prefer Watt to not join the Cardinals, as the combination of Chandler Jones and Watt could be one of the deadliest pass-rushing combinations in the NFL.

Not to mention that Kittle himself would have to go up against the duo at least twice a year and most likely would be asked to help block one of the two at times.
