The Arizona Diamondbacks sold out all 14 of the team’s home games during Cactus League play in less than 24 hours, according to a team release.
The D-backs previously announced that they would sell 2,200 tickets, or less than 20% of capacity at Salt River Fields, meaning they sold more than 24,000 tickets in a mere 24 hours.
The team’s Cactus League companions, the Colorado Rockies, also sold out their entire ticket allotment at the Scottsdale facility.
Tickets went on sale at 10 a.m. Arizona time on Saturday, with Salt River Fields and D-backs season ticket holders having first dibs at seats.
The stadium’s ticket allotments for both teams included 1,500 for fixed seating areas, with another 700 going for pods of 2, 4 or 6 tickets in the lawns around the playing field.
The D-backs open the team’s spring training schedule with a road game against the Rockies at Salt River Fields next Sunday, before hosting the Milwaukee Brewers at the facility on March 1.
In total, the team has sold out 157 games at the stadium since moving its Cactus League operation there in 2011.
