The Chicago Cubs released their new Nike City Connect uniforms on Tuesday.

“Wrigleyville”, which is the northside neighborhood of Chicago that surrounds the Cubs’ Wrigley Field, is written across the middle of the jerseys.
However, the new Cubs’ City Connect uniforms aren’t meant to just represent the surrounding neighborhood around the stadium. The design of the jerseys were inspired by all 77 neighborhoods in the city of Chicago.
This jersey is deeply inspired by all 77 neighborhoods.
It's a nod to Second City symbolism and Cubbie culture because Wrigleyville is not just a place, it’s a feeling. pic.twitter.com/AHNYWGGsWQ

On the sleeves of the uniforms, a patch with the city flag of Chicago is stitched to represent the city as a whole. In the bottom left corner of the jerseys, “Respect our neighborhood” is written to symbolize the culture of Wrigleyville.
For the ivy. For Wrigleyville. For #All77 of Chicago’s neighborhoods.
