With NBA free agents actually able to sign contracts following the league’s moratorium, a former Phoenix Sun is moving on, according to Yahoo! Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski.
Free agent forward Gerald Green has reached agreement on a one-year deal with the Miami Heat, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.

Green, 29, was acquired by the Suns in a trade with the Indiana Pacers prior to the 2013-14 season. Most believed the journeyman was a throw-in in the deal, but he turned out to be a lot more.
After Eric Bledsoe got injured, Green stepped into the starting lineup for head coach Jeff Hornacek, averaging 15.8 points per game and shooting 40 percent from three-point range.
Playing time was a little harder to come by for Green last season, but he did get into 74 games, averaging 19.5 minutes and 11.9 points per contest while shooting 35.4 percent from long range.
