The Arizona Diamondbacks are on the way to San Diego to play a three-game series against the Padres, about two hours south of where their neighbors are battling for a spot in the NBA Finals.
Prior to boarding a plane, D-backs players repped Phoenix Suns gear in honor of the team’s Game 3 matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers in the Western Conference Finals on Thursday night.

Unfortunately for Valley sports fans, the Suns dropped Game 3 of the series, 106-92.
Catcher Daulton Varsho and pitcher Alex Young donned Devin Booker jerseys, while Nick Ahmed wore a shirt with the Suns’ iconic purple.
Center fielder Ketel Marte wore a Diana Taurasi jersey, who plays for the Phoenix Mercury and shares an arena and color scheme with the Suns.
The Suns are trying to make their first NBA Finals in nearly three decades and hold a 2-1 lead in the series over the Clippers.
Hopefully donning the Suns’ jerseys can help bring the D-backs similar success, as the team is attempting to snap a record 23 straight road losses.
The Suns will once again look to move one win away from a trip to the NBA Finals in Game 4 on Saturday.
Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. Catch all the action on 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station.
