The Arizona Diamondbacks announced a slew of roster moves on Tuesday night.
The D-backs tendered contracts to 39 players prior to Tuesday night’s 6 p.m. deadline.
Arizona also tendered contracts to arbitration-eligible players in catcher Carson Kelly, first baseman Christian Walker and right-handed pitcher Luke Weaver.
The Diamondbacks avoided arbitration with three pitchers: RHP Noé Ramirez, LHP Caleb Smith and RHP J.B. Wendelken, who all signed one-year contracts.
Ramirez signed for $1.25 million, while Smith signed for $2 million and Wendelken agreed to an $835,000 deal, according to The Athletic‘s Zach Buchanan.
The D-backs non-tendered right-hander Taylor Clarke.
The team also outrighted RHP Brett de Geus to Triple-A Reno and infielder Andrew Young to Double-A Amarillo.
Arizona’s 40-man roster is now at 38.
