GLENDALE — The Arizona Cardinals will be without both running back James Conner and rookie wide receiver Rondale Moore for their Christmas matchup against the Indianapolis Colts.

Conner and Moore entered the contest as questionable after dealing with heel and ankle injuries, respectively. They did not practice throughout the week.

Conner enters play Saturday trailing only Colts running back Jonathan Taylor (17) for the most rushing touchdowns in the league with 14. Chase Edmonds will likely handle the bulk of the carries Saturday night, while Jonathan Ward and Eno Benjamin could see an uptick in snaps.

This season, Moore has caught 54 balls (64 targets) for 435 yards and a touchdown. The wideout has also been utilized in the running game, rushing 18 times for 76 yards.

With Moore sidelined, the Cardinals could turn to wide receiver Greg Dortch, who was signed to the active roster ahead of Saturday’s matchup, or Andy Isabella to pick up the slack.

It’s yet another shot to the Cardinals receiving room that must navigate the rest of the regular season and possibly a playoffs run without star wideout DeAndre Hopkins, who underwent surgery to repair a reportedly “badly torn” MCL.

Other Cardinals inactives include quarterback Trace McSorley, cornerback Breon Borders and defensive linemen Zach Kerr and Jordan Phillips.

It’s not all bad news for the Cardinals, however, as offensive lineman Max Garcia is officially active for Saturday.

Garcia, who will likely start at center for the Cardinals with Rodney Hudson on the COVID-19 list, was questionable for the matchup with a knee issue.

As for the Colts, running back Marlon Mack, wide receiver Mike Strachan, center Ryan Kelly (personal) and safety Andrew Sendejo (concussion) are out for Indianapolis.

The Cardinals take on the Colts on Saturday at 6:15 p.m. Tune to 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station for all the action.
