After leading the Phoenix Suns to a perfect 3-0 record on the road last week, guard Devin Booker has been named Western Conference Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.
Booker averaged 27.0 points in the three games, including two 30-point performances in Phoenix’s last two games against the Indiana Pacers and Detroit Pistons.
Against the Pacers on Friday, Booker scored 35 points in the game with 22 of them coming in the third quarter. It marked the 16th time in his career he’s scored 20 points in a quarter, the fourth most in the NBA since Booker entered the league in 2015.
This is Booker’s fifth Player of the Week honor of his career and the second he’s received this season.
The guard won the award three times last season, becoming the first Suns player to win the award that many times in a season since Steve Nash during the 2006-07 season.
Booker and the Suns currently have the league’s best record on the road, going 16-4.
The Suns look to win another on the road Monday night in San Antonio against the Spurs. Tip-off is set for 6:30 p.m. and you can catch all the action on ESPN 620 AM or 98.7 FM HD-2.
