Defensive tackle Nesta Jade Silvera announced he is transferring to Arizona State after four seasons with Miami, via a Twitter post on Wednesday.
Silvera will have one year of eligibility as he joins the Sun Devils.

The 6-foot-2, 306-pound nose tackle from Pembroke Pines, Florida, played 41 games with the Hurricanes from 2018-2021.
He had 5.5 tackles for loss in 2021 and eight in 2020, paired with a sack and a forced fumble. He was an All-ACC honorable mention that season.
Silvera joins a Sun Devil defensive line that can use reinforcements, as starting tackle D.J. Davidson and defensive end Tyler Johnson have played their final snaps in maroon and gold.
Defensive tackle Jermayne Lole is returning, though, after missing the 2021 season with a triceps injury.
ASU also landed former Penn State offensive lineman Des Holmes on Wednesday night, Holmes announced on Twitter.
Holmes also has one year of eligibility remaining.
He is 6-foot-5, 310 pounds and was a backup at both tackle and guard last season.

ASU is losing starting left tackle Kellen Diesch, right guard Henry Hattis and center Dohnovan West from last year’s team, so Holmes will compete for a spot on the line.
Silvera and Holmes are ASU’s sixth and seventh transfer commits of the offseason. The Sun Devils recently landed former San Diego State offensive tackle Chris Martinez and Alabama quarterback transfer Paul Tyson.
The program also lost someone to the transfer portal on Wednesday, as quarterback Ethan Long entered after three seasons.
He was named a team captain as a freshman in 2019 and nicknamed “Captain America.”

Long arrived at ASU as a quarterback and played behind center in some special packages as a freshman. He had six carries for 32 yards that season.
That was the extent of his offensive role with ASU, as he played primarily on special teams in Tempe.
